Great food. Nice staff, but it small restaurant. They don't have a lot of tables if you want enyou your food (you will enyou your food) come early

The food was very good but way over the price that was written in the menu. If youre a tourist they will try to charge you more than you should have to pay.

I had big expectations from this place. Unfortunately I was a little bit disappointed. What was good: ramen soup, home made fries and mayo. Really delicious and yummy. But, the beyond burger was cold and cheese not even melted. For the almost 10 Euro famous burger big dislike. We even told waiter it's cold but he didn't even offer to change it or heat it...

Lovely stuff, loved the food. Gluten free options available. Small friendly environment to sit and talk/eat with friends and loved ones.

The best vegan burger I've ever had. Especially the sauces were amazing!

I brought my omnivorous friend here and was really nervous how he’d like it. (I may not have revealed that it was vegan when I suggested it.) Thankfully the food was delicious, and he was sold! We both had burgers and split a side of fries, which were fantastic. Service was friendly and accommodating, atmosphere was comfy-cozy with good music. Cash only, which is a bummer, but I’d go back regularly anyway if I lived in Bratislava. Hooray for Balans!

Super cute little bistro with vegan food. The food tastes great but no matter what you eat you get hungry in about an hour. :-(

A cozy vegan place on a quiet street in the city centre. The bistro has a stable offering of street foods (burgers, quesadillas, burritos), but also offers a daily lunch menu on work days and weekend specials. The food here is amazing, i have never been disappointed. There are also great desserts from local bakery and a wide range of soft drinks and craft beers. Service here is also very nice. Well recommended!

The Mexican Burger was Undoubtedly the best vegan burger I have ever had. The amount of flavour they achieve with mostly whole food ingredients was absolutely incredible. Could not recommend more

I was very happy to find this place! The atmosphere is really nice very cosy and chilled. All over the place you can see lovely details. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. This restaurant offers a really great variety on vegan and healthy foods. We ordered some quesedillas and a burger and both were incredibly delicious! I would love to have this restaurant in home town. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back when visiting Bratislava again.

This is some of the best vegan food I’ve tasted in my life (and I’ve eaten in tonnes of vegan joints across the world) We tried the mushroom quesadilla, spicy quesadilla, vegan hot dog, black bean burrito and the grain coffees. I would recommend them all! ❤️

Much loved vegan bistro. Famous for burgers, sandwiches and quesadillas. It also serves daily menus, a soup plus main meal. Daily menus, unfortunately, are not available in the afternoon. Limited choice of a la carte dishes is a drawback.We tried quesadilla with olives and Portobello mushroom (very good), gluten-free rice cake with banana (good) and green tea (disappointing).Nice staff. Rather pricey.

Excellent food. I ate the "Balan Burger" which was recommended by the polite waitress and some french fries. It tasted delicious, the cake afterwards was okay as well. The place is very small with only a few tables inside, so the first day I came there there was no free seat, but I did not regret coming back the next day.

Everything we ordered was outstanding (burgers, fries, sauces, soup, lemonade and coffee). Prices were reasonable and the environment is nice. The only negative was that it was busy at lunch time so we had to wait for a table. However, the food came very fast.

The Tofoie de gras was amazing, so was the rest what I was able to taste. Great experience with vegan food at its best. Keep up the good work guys. #noneedformeat

Small restaurant with family atmosphere. It's vegan and their meals are delicious and prepared with fantasy. They offer also home made limonades and special wine. After 2 pm they offer tasty pancakes.

Great food, finally quality vegan cheese, affordable prices, but menu on Google is outdated

So yum! A cute little bistro with nice and fast service. It’s very popular so you might have to wait a little to get a seat. We had a burger and a hot dog with fries and everything tasted really great. I especially liked their mayonnaise and side salad. Amazing fries. Very recommend, also very nice value for money.

A big disappointment! Food was more or less tasty however portions were to small considering price and ingredients used. We expected a normal main course but received a starter let’s say! We ordered burrito bowl and Buddha bowl

This is a very nice place. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with fries, it was delicious and a huge serving! The menu is a little expensive, but the food was very very good.

Higher prices for Slovakia - Ramen soup 7,9€, or Burger with french fries for around 10€. (same like elsewhere in western Europe) Burger was average, Ramen soup and fries very tasty. Heavy air inside(from kitchen), place very crowded. Except of it i would recommend Balans Bistro.

Best vegan place in Bratislava! And even if you meat eater you find their burgers delicious!

I am not a huge fan of vegan food, but the Balans burger here was awesome. The “burger” is made of chickpeas, beats and oats, which sound a bit weird, but the tastes really good. The space is quite small though so be prepared to wait up to 15-20 minutes during the busy times, especially when you’re a group of 5 or more people. It is possible to pay by card here.

Lovely place with very tasty vegan food. We tried balans burger with tortilla and both of them was wonderful. Prices are quite low. In our experience in Bratislava it was the best service we had with very friendly and English-speaking waiter! Thank you guys! Best wishes from Lithuania :)

I need my meat so I wasn't expecting much. But the food is really delicious. I think they are putting something addiction inducing in it, because I want it all the time.Bean burrito is extremely good, or should I say amazing. Burger is good, hot dog is good, sandwich is good.It's for vegans and meat devourers alike.

I've visited this place with a non-vegan friend of mine who's getting into vegan burgers, kinda. Wonderful, I'm quite sure the burgers served there do not do a disservice to the 'picture of vegan-compatible food' as a whole. The prices are quite alright for the exceptional quality. Just consider: you'll pay 3 Euros more for the equivalent in the center of Vienna. Big portion, definitely get your moneys worth. The staff is kind, they speak very good English. The food came out pretty fast. The presentation was perfect, very well organised plate. Eco friendly environment, charming decorations inside. The location is not difficult to find, the place is moderately small, but not crowded. I recommend it to all vegetarians and vegans if you're visiting bratislava it's a must go to place to eat out!!

I am a true carnivore but this place made a mark on my foodie go to map in Bratislava. Great hotdog or as they Call it “vegdog”. Quesedilla was good as well. Huge selection of craft beer and other beverages. Fast and nice service. We had to wait for a table at 6:30pm for About 10 minutes. Will definitely come back to try other meals as well. Yummy!

I don’t know what it was, but something put me off. The food was good, not amazing. Rushed to throw me out of the place because they have to close at 9, so had not even a second to chill after eating, and nobody told me I had to leave this early when I ordered. No goodbye when I left. Honestly won’t go back

Great vegan cuisine and spot for meatlovers whenever there's a feeling for a change. Burger was really joyful and filled my tummy right away. Lovely service and the food was delivered within 5 minutes. Appreciate the interior which is nicely decorated. Will definitely come back soon.

I just recently discovered the place. OMG! I am a meat lover but this is something else. The burrito is so tasty and full of flavour. I’m usually very suspicious about vegan burgers because they are usually very dry but this was juicy and so yummi. Deffo try the “thousand islands” dip with the fries - it’s beyond everything you would expect. Quite diverse selection of beverages, wine, beers and coffee/teas. The staff is super nice too 🌈

There is often a queue in front of Balans Bistro and it’s for good reason, food is so good that it’s worth the wait. Every time when I’m in Bratislava I go here, it’s definitely best place for vegan food. Weekend specials are awesome, stuff always kind. Highly recommended.

Good vibration of food. It is obvious that the owners are in love with cooking and nature.

Try the vegdog! 🌱🌭 It is awesome. Also had some bounty cake which was light and tasty. Really relaxed and inviting cafe vibe, highly recommend a visit if you’re in Bratislava.

The hamburgers are very tasty, but no salads in the menue
